Christmas markets are an integral part of Advent and Christmas in Karlovy Vary.

The markets in Karlovy Vary will take place from 29 November 2026 to 1 January 2027 in the town’s spa centre. They will offer a range of Advent goods, such as Christmas decorations and handcrafted items, refreshments, a Christmas bus, a mini-train and a cable car, beautiful decorations and a rich cultural programme.

The festive atmosphere in Karlovy Vary at Christmas will permeate the entire spa route from the Thermal Hotel to Divadelní náměstí. The centre of the festivities will be the Mlýnská Colonnade, where the Christmas markets will be held again this year. Visitors will find the Christmas tree and attractions for children near the Thermal Hotel. The entire area will be decorated and festively illuminated, with transport provided by the Christmas mini-train. In addition to the market stalls, the colonnade will also host a supporting programme. As part of this, the large stage in front of the Mlýnská Colonnade will once again feature a line-up of stars from the Czech music scene alongside local performers and children from Karlovy Vary’s nursery and primary schools. You can also look forward to a Christmas craft workshop.

This year, you’ll find a small Christmas market in Dvořák Park. Here you’ll find stalls selling Christmas treats and biscuits, Christmas bread, roasted chestnuts, as well as mulled wine and other hot drinks. A photo corner will be open in the park at weekends.

We’re planning to light the Christmas tree in Karlovy Vary on the first Sunday of Advent. This year’s chosen Christmas tree – a popular and essential feature of the Christmas markets – will be a 15-metre-tall silver spruce.
