The opening of the spa season 2025 will take place on the first weekend of May.
Musicians, actors, and other artists will showcase their talents in the streets, parks, colonnades, and spa forests. Traditional elements, such as the blessing of the springs and a festive mass, the procession of Charles IV's retinue, or a craft market with historical attractions, will not be missing from the city's long-standing tradition of launching the spa season.
Charles IV's retinue will parade through the city, Smetana Gardens will transform into a craft fair with historical attractions and creative workshops for children, and a stage will be set up near the post office on T.G.M. Street, featuring a variety of artists from local talents to star guests from Friday to Sunday.
On Saturday, the traditional ceremony of blessing the Karlovy Vary springs will take place. Porcelain enthusiasts will have a treat this year, as they can admire the works and purchase products from the largest Czech manufacturer at the market in front of the Thermal Hotel. The three-day marathon will culminate on Sunday with the Sinatra festivities at Linhart.
